Topics of Presentation include:
- Yellowhead Aggregates Pit 31/Turnbull Application is still a current issue? Our County will accept a re-application Spring 2009. Learn how we must respond.
- LSA County has designated this entire area (refer to map) for gravel extraction, soley for the enhancement of the aggregate industry. They have given aggregate development first priority over any other land use in this area. There will be many more gravel pit applications coming. Learn how this impacts your intentions for your land, your lifestyle, our ground water, rivers, streams and lakes.
- There are Social, Environmental, Economic, Health and Spiritual impacts of gravel pits and haul routes on the community that lives here. Learn what we can do to ensure we are involved in the decisions being made for this area.
If you cannot attend, we encourage you to send a representative from your family, your subdivision, your farming community, your church, interest group, etc.
