SUBDIVISION DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD (SDAB) APPEAL HEARING
5:00 p.m.

Gunn Area Recreational Society Hall. Gunn, Alberta
4:15 p.m. - Please join others outside the facility for a colorful, peaceful and passionate display of bells and banners.

Yellowhead Aggregate's Lawyer is appealing to the SDAB to have the "deemed denial" interpretation overturned with an unconditional approval of their application.

An important precedent must be set where aggregate developers must respect the authority of the Municipal Government and the local residents by providing publically available impact assessment reports.

Please support our County Council and our Community!

Please write your letter to the secretary
and please attend this meeting!

Onoway Community Hall, 10:30 a.m.

Over 60 people attended the Public meeting at the Onoway Community Centre to learn more about Yellowhead Aggregates application:

A) The discrepancies reported in the HCL (water report) received from Alberta Environment.

B) The unacceptable noise levels reported in the FFA ( noise report) received from Alberta Environment.

And to learn more about the Appeal Hearing set for November 26th:

- YA believes that our County has NO right to ask for a ground water study, noise study, traffic study, or on-site dust control plan.
- YA believes that our County does NOT have to keep public documents public, and allow citizens to see the reports they provide with their application.
- YA believes that our County MUST be held to the premature and flawed recommendation for approval by the former Development Officer.

Onoway River Valley Conservation Association made a presentation highlighting the Environmental and Municipal laws that are not being followed with other aggregate developments.

The Edmonton Journal covered the story on Sunday November 16th.
