Important Update
September 27th, 2008
The County has confirmed that the Yellowhead application for the Turnbull Gravel Pit is on the agenda for the Oct 1st Management Planning Committee. Please click on "Calendar" for the latest update identifying the speakers scheduled to address the committee in the allocated time slot (10:00 to 10:30 a.m.)
You may have noticed that the Yellowhead Application is no longer on the LSACG Website. In error, confidential information was released by Alberta Environment. This week Patti received a demand letter from Yellowhead Aggregates legal counsel instructing her to take down the application from the web site and return all copies immediately or Yellowhead Aggregates would take legal action. . The application has been removed.
Our legal counsel Jennifer Klimet is currently waiting from the privacy commissioner on our obligations under the Alberta Environment privacy legislation and our obligations and/or capability of returning all copies of the confidential documents released in error and posted on our website.
A strong attendance by the residences living in the most affected sub-divisions is very important at this meeting on Wednesday and show your support as to why this application must be withheld until all concerns have been addressed.
Your next "Important Update" will be from Richard Wheatley with the Oct 1st Management Planning Committee's decision.
